As a beginner, I cannot distinguish between chords and songs, any recommendation which one will provide me with more efficient learning?

Hi Hattor and welcome to the Forum. Stick around and join in and I'm sure you'll learn a lot.

To answer your question, there's value in both. As a beginner, the best I can offer to you is get in front of the best player you know. If he's a teacher, all the better but even a fairly good player can give you lots of direction and help and you'll learn a lot more a lot faster than just sitting with a book or trying to read tabs. You'll end up learning notes, chords and songs and they're all valuable.

Beyond that, play as much as you can and have fun.
