This is a Limited Dreadnaught guitar of solid woods made in 1999 with the same mountain motif as the 99' Limited Edition.
Takamine has no number on quanity made. I am researching on my own for other owners with not much luck. This guitar
has a solid spruce top, and solid rosewood sides and back. No electronics. If you know of anyone with a 1999 Takamine catalog I would like to know if it was featured in it. A pdf copy of the page would be really great also if you could. If you used to own one of these and would like to share your knowledge it would be appreciated. Thanks

I finally picked up a 99 Takamine consumer catalog that I had been looking for a long time.
There was a picture of the 99 Takamine Limited Edition Mountain guitar, but no mention of the
Takamine F360SSMT 99 Mountain dreadnaught all wood guitar.
So no one knows how many were made and for what reason.
Do you think a contact in Japan could find out since the US company says, "I know nothing"......

Feel free to ponder.....

Well thanks to some forum members I got the address of Takamine Japan and asked if they could help on info on this guitar. Mainly as far as the quanity made.

Well they were nice to get back to me and said....
Because the Ltd 99 Mountain was so well accepted they decided to make a very "Limited" run of the F360SSMTN in a high end solid wood version.
Unfortunately they were unable to have a number of sales of this guitar. Many records like this were not kept.

So it will go on into history that the quanity is not known.....Rats...

So those that advertise these once in a while for sale don't know Jack as to the quanity made. Still a good sounding guitar and collectible if you care!

That's my story and I'm sticking too it!
