Each year since 1987 Takamine has offered a special model that would only be built one time and never again with the same configuration. Thus began the LTD program. 2013 celebrates the start of Takamine's second half-century of fine craftsmanship and they have held nothing back with the a limited edition run of 51 guitars called "PEAK".
 
As the name suggests, the PEAK is Takamine's summit of acoustic artistry in hand crafted guitars.  This "New Yorker" sized Parlor guitar features solid bearclaw top amnd solid Hawaiian kloa back and sides.  The distinctive Climber motif inlay work spans the entire fretboard representing the concept of PEAK.  The body is bound in flamed maple with dark wood purflong and a spaltyed maple/cocobolo rosette.   The 1-3/4 nut width mahigany neck joins the body at the 12th fret with ebony fingerboard, rosewood bridge, bone nut and split bone saddle.  Electronics are handled by the wonderful Palathetic pickup system and stealth TLD line driver pre-amp.  Each of the 51 guitars is hand signed by the President of Takamine Guitars.
