I just had the pleasure of attending an outstanding musical event - The Tommy Emmanuel Concert at the Kimo Theater in Albuquerque. This gentleman is the players player. I don't think there is anything he cannot do with the acoustic guitar. I was awestruck. While watching him, I went from feeling so inadequate as a player that I thought it best to lay down the guitar for good, to inspired to keep learning more. I recommend that anyone who plays acoustic make a pilgrimage to a Tommy Emmanuel concert. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Here is a sample youtube clip of his studio work: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S33tWZqXhnk

If you Google him there is a wealth of information out there about this Grammy Award winning Australian musician and many videos of him at work. Enjoy,

Don

Some people may not be aware that Tommy has an older brother, Phil. No where near as famous as Tommy but also an awesome player...

Check 'em out playing together... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tj3nJCTFtdg

Saw him in Nevada recently. Great player. Did you know he reads no music or tabs and is self taught by ear?
So there is hope for us all...lol
See him if you can. He has some interesting stories growing up and learning to play.
