this post will be 1959. the pinnacle of decadence in American Automotive Design, the 1959 Caddy coupe de ville. I've had two. Things of beauty. Truely stand the test of 50 years and the product is still awesome!

I've been a car guy all my life. Love the big Caddies and the 50's Buick big A$$ chrome grills. I've had a bunch of street rods. My current and favorite being a 34 Ford full fendered, chopped top, small block, 700r4 tranny, Ford staggered four link rear end, Mustang II front suspension, power disc brakes, leather interior, tilt, cruise control, and of course AC and heat. The perfect picture might be my Taks lined up in front of my hot rod with my Callaway golf clubs in the backround. Bragg, bragg, bragg, blah, blah, blah. All my favorite stuff. Makes life more fun. Best,
Blues

From '59 by Brian Setzer:
Wonder where, as time rolls on All that style from 1959 has gone. But i've got memories in the back of my mind. What it was like to be alive in '59. We had technicolor at the scene of the crime, Coupe Devilles rolling off of the line.
Everything I love is from '59 My first guitar and that girl of mine. Everything I want is from '59 I guess i'm behind the times. Everything I love ... is from '59
