These are Bill Collings' version of the old Gibson Jumbo (J45). IMHO, few makers do a burst as well as Collings. This has a Sitka top, East Indian Rosewood back and sides, ebony neck, fretboard and bridge pins, bone saddle and 1-3/4" nut, nickel open Waverly tuners. Build quality, fit and finish are outstanding, and the tone is to die for. Next in my sights is an EF75J lest anyone think I'm setting aside Takamine 8)

Lookin' way too good. Congratulations on a very, very nice looking instrumet. Spruce / Rosewood is hard to beat for an all round player. You can color me green with envy. So..... is she a player or a case queen?

Best,

Blues

If it plays and sounds as good as it looks, you've got a real keeper there. Beautiful!

Most definitely worth the wait. Blues, she's most definitely NOT a case queen. I may not take her to open mic (the Adamas is more suited for that, since it's bullet proof) but she'll get (is getting) plenty of play.

If I didn't know you better I'd think you were serious...

K&K PW mini with vintage endpin jack is going in it - no external mods at all.

Never mind. I thought it was yet another acquisition. Back to what you were doing...there's nothing more to see here...
