First day playing with a Takamine ef340s TT with tld-2 pickup. I will play with this guitar a lot more before trying any adjustments but am curious about the following. Hoping to make this a good stage guitar. Nice guitar but - Right off the bat I notice that when plugged into the pa system the A string is much louder than all the others. I can turn the bass way down on the pa system but then the low E string is very weak. I understand the TLD-2 is somewhat adjustable. Anyone have any experience with this issue and can it be fixed by adjusting the pickup. And how do you adjust these? Thanks in advance for any help and stay safe.

You arent going to adjust individual strings via the TLD. Its basically 3 small switches to adjust the overall tone.sound.

Make sure the saddle is seated properly on the pickup and its snug. Not too loose. Not too tight, which seems to give a sound difference to what you are explaining.

Thanks Tacky and Fat Guy. I had read the one post concerning adjustment. Was hoping someone might have had this issue or knew of a way to calm the A string down. I will continue looking at other options rather than tear this brand new guitar apart although I may check the saddle. I noticed today if I plug the guitar into a DI box before the PA it is much better. Will keep this updated if I learn anything.

It sounds like a saddle fit issue to me vice a pickup issue.
