Uncle Leroy,
Great video review.
It's amazing how the guitars great sound mostly transferred/translated through, despite the video camera's possibly "challenged" sound recording capabilities.
The guitar seems to sound assertively matured, yet very fresh, and has a nice dynamic range. I only wish the camera could capture the lows too...
Great playing!
Thank you...

Jayboy

Nice, is this supposed to be the successor of the 340/360SBG models? And does anyone know or have heard differences between this new model and the older bluegrass guitars?
I wonder cuz Takamina hasn't been working too much anymore on those dreads it seems, while those always interested me the most. There was also an SBG model with Madagascar rosewood and Adirondack, I wish they kept on making and selling those... I mainly wonder if that TT option (is is "thermal top"?) really gives a better sound quality and if it's comparable to those elite woods that I mentioned here already...

Probably not much now, I know Brad Davis help them with both the old Bluegrass models and the new torrified ones, but seeing how Brad left them last year to go with Alvarez because Alvarez made him a signature guitar, they probably aren't doing too much on the bluegrass front. Brad was their main influence and clinician when it came to bluegrass but after years of being one of their main clinician and seeing everyone else get signature guitars from Takamine except him, he jumped at the offer from Alvarez...I can't blame him really, he was more deserving of a signature than several people who Takamine has made signature guitars for.
